Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Description: Yorkshire lasses Kim, Lisa and Tammi slap on the sun protection factor 15 in Mallorca, touring the local bars where they meet Bluey, Josh and Marcus. When the boys reveal they all crew on a nearby yacht, the girls excitedly agree to continue the party back on board, where head crewman Sean is waiting to catch Tammi's eye. A sex romp between five of the group ends in tragedy. "The best thing for everyone is if we say she fell overboard. No body, no case," suggests Marcus, but the remaining girls aren't willing to go along with the cover-up.

Salty tale: Julian Morris sets out on a voyage on a yacht that ends in disaster
Oliver Blackburn's deliberately controversial British thriller has been frowned on by some for its lusty sex scenes and blood-strewn violence - but it's not much worse in these respects than several other movies recently on show. It starts with a posse of giggling goodtime girls going to Marbella. They accept a ride on a rich young man's yacht, and get themselves into a drugs and sex orgy that ends with the death of one of them. The situation then spins out of control and by the end there's scarcely anybody left alive.
The filming is energetically exuberant, the acting enthusiastic and this is undoubtedly a better horror thriller than most, though nothing like as good as Dead Calm, a similarly themed Phil Noyce film made a few years ago, or Polanski and Skolimowski's classic Knife in the Water, produced in the Sixties.
But there is one major drawback. None of the characters is developed enough for you to care what happens to them. All you can do is sit back and wait for what the hell is going to endanger them next. it is almost always something as awful as the sex game that disposes of the first naked victim just as she comes to a climax. Nichola Burley, Jaime Winstone (ray's daughter), Sian Brechin, Tom Burke and Julian Morris are the unfortunates aboard, and they deserve praise for stoicism in face of difficult circumstances.
