Written and directed by Bill Guttentag, the Academy Award-winning documentarist, this satire on reality television has Eva Mendes as a network boss who devises a show called Russian Roulette, in which six contestants put a loaded revolver to their heads on air and the survivors are paid $5 million.
There is a big problem in believing any of it, but a certain amount of fun watching television’s more ghastly denizens wonder whether murder will improve the ratings. It does.
