Randal Kleiser's 1978 musical, set in the Fifties, has some horrible acting but the kind of exuberance that has made it a cult classic.
Half the cast playing 17-year-olds at Rydell High are well over that age, including John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and especially Stockard Channing.
But what the hell, this is kitsch heaven.
