Aliens in the Attic
Domestic pest: an alien from the attic

By Derek Malcolm

You go on a holiday with your boring old parents to a boring old house in the countryside near your Michigan home.

Just as you think it’s going to be unbearable, you find knee-high alien invaders in the attic.

The Pearson kids - a 15-year-old geek (Carter Jenkins), his big sister (Ashley Tisdale) and a seven-year-old (Ashley Boettcher) — now have to save the world and especially big sister’s boyfriend, whom the aliens turn into a zombie.

The aliens look like cast-offs from a bad Spielberg film and the whole family are boring examples of Hollywood’s ordinary Americans.

But this may suffice for a holiday season that’s not yet given us much in the way of real quality.
