Description: British Prime Minister John Hammond is determined to secure an ¿80 billion arms deal for the country and thereby ensure his re-election. In order to shake on the deal with Sheik Kaseem, Hammond sacrifices an elite special forces unit in Afghanistan. Two months after the pact, Hammond is horrified to learn that one member of the team, SAS Captain Jill Mandelson, survived the assault.

Treacherous Arabs, corrupt politicians, a brave SAS captain and a doting dad ... British thriller 31 North 62 East deserves awards for Least Memorable Title of the Year and Plot Most Reminiscent of an Enid Blyton Adventure.

Still, not every moment is torture. Star Trek’s Marina Sirtis — as a spin doctor — has enough moxie to temporarily ease the pain.
