Blood-spattered comedy in Zombieland

Zombieland

The world is overrun by zombies in Ruben Fleischer’s blood-spattered comedy-horror. Smashing up as many of them as possible are the gung-ho Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and his unlikely new cohort Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), whose wussiness has so far allowed him to escape being eaten. There is an amusing cameo from Bill Murray as a friend who dresses up as a zombie and gets shot by our nerdy hero for his pains. There are even a few good lines. But inspiration is pretty fallow after about half an hour. Success, however, has come its way in the States and probably will here, too.
