The Horseman is an undeniably well made film

Steven Kastrissios’s debut has Peter Marshall as a devastated father seeking bloody revenge after finding his daughter has died after appearing, clearly drugged, in a porn video.
One by one, he catches up with the men who took part and deals out increasingly violent death. So far, so bad — but the film is undeniably well made.
Marshall is impressive and Kastrissios redeems the torture porn aspect by having the bitter father give a lift to a young hitchhiker (Caroline Marohasy) who reminds him of his daughter before she went to the bad. Their touching relationship allows us some sympathy for the revenger.
