Kitchen W8
Too long and drawn out but very entertaining with excellent special effects
This is a peculiar play and does not work for me. Some of it is very funny but there are real flaws
Alex has a strong powerful voice and was faultless, she is far better now than she was on the X-Factor

Paper Heart: charming or faintly irritating
Either you will find this cheaply made American independent docudrama charming or faintly irritating.
Comedian Charlyne Yi pursues her way across America with a microphone and a director (Nicholas Jasenovic) asking everyone what they think about love.
She is herself uncertain but she meets film star Michael Cera (apparently her real-life boyfriend) on the way and stutters into a vague romance.
The bikers, gays, judges and proprietors of Las Vegas marriage venues are more entertaining than either Yi or Cera, and so are the interludes of make-do-and-mend animation that accompany the ephemeral proceedings.
