Lala Pipo is jaunty but not erotic

Hope amid the sleaze: Lala Pipo

There’s a talking penis in Miyano Masayuki’s comedy, set in Tokyo, where a bevy of sex-starved young people wander sex clubs in search of fulfilment.

The film is jaunty rather than erotic, hoping to show that, despite everything, some find hope amid the sleaze.
