Mayhem ensues in Armored

Armored
Armored is based on a first-time script which, thanks to a bit of industry hype, became the subject of a bidding war among the studios

Nimród Antal's film is a morality play disguised as a down'n'dirty heist thriller.

A group of armored truck guards, led by disgruntled charmer Bill (Matt Dillon), plans to hijack their own vehicles. Guess what? Things don't go quite as planned.

As mayhem ensues, anodyne Columbus Short (as Bill's Iraq war veteran godson) looks as if he's trying to suppress a snigger and the rest of the cast (including Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno and Skeet Ulrich) indulge in a lot of stubble-rubbing.

Armored is based on a first-time script which, thanks to a bit of industry hype, became the subject of a bidding war among the studios. Sony won the day. Guys, you were robbed.
