That moment has passed and they and their prot�g� James McTeigue now appear happy to churn out gory action thrillers for sad-sack teens.

This one begins in Berlin, where a rogue martial arts assassin called Raizo (sleepy-eyed Korean pop star Rain) teams up with an attractive Europol agent, Mika (Naomie Harris), to defeat a secret ninja clan, led by the sadistic Lord Ozunu (Sho Kosugi).

The first time we see heads roll it's entertaining. The second time it's boring. The eighth time...
