When the couples return home, they must face tough decisions about their personal and professional lives.

Tyler Perry’s latest domestic drama presents us with four black American males in crisis with their wives.

Boy, do these woman shriek as their holiday weekend disintegrates into neurosis. The acting, particularly from Perry himself and a rampant Janet Jackson, is admirably enthusiastic as the men get beaten over the head with their sins.

erry takes the mickey out of his characters two-thirds of the time but sticks in something serious during what remains. It works because he is a good observer of black American manners.
