A Bite Out In London - Canteen in Baker Street

What to Expect
A fun take on traditional British cuisine. Great for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch or dinner. Think quality comfort food.

Hot Dishes
The fried fish with chips and tartare source is always a safe bet. It is also worth giving a pie a try. Freshly baked in the kitchen, served with mash, greens and gravy, fillings change daily. There will always be a vegetable and a meat option. Roasts are served on a 'first come, first served' basis at lunch and dinner time so be sure to book a table if you fancy the mother of all English meals. Baked Custard tart or a Chocolate Brownie Caramel Sunday should round things off nicely.

Drink Up
Keeping things British, a selection of exclusively British bottled lagers, ales, stouts, ciders and perrys aim to show off the country's brewing history. The cocktails are also a popular choice. Try the Apple Old Fashioned or Strawberry and Mint Bellini.

Ambience
There may be an emphasis on all things British but the informal atmosphere and modern canteen-style setting has taken its influence from across the pond. Just the place to meet for a catch up with friends complemented by a hearty lunch/dinner and cheeky cocktail.

Where to find it
In the middle of Baker Street. There are also branches in Spitalfields, Canary Wharf and Royal Festival Hall.

Cheque Out
Expect to pay £35+ per head for a three course meal and drink.
