Dip into Chocolate Week...

Chocolate lovers rejoice; London is celebrating all things cocoa-coated this week with the return of Chocolate Week.

Chocoholics can indulge their sweet cravings at free tasting sessions by L'artisan du Chocolat, Godiva, La Maison du Chocolat, Rococo, Prestat, and many more.

Events this year include chocolate cocktails at The Sanderson, chocolate film evenings, chocolate themed meals and a chocolate burlesque party at the Volupte Lounge. Here are the top ten highlights:

Chocolate burlesque party; Le Soiree du Chocolat
An evening of fine chocolate and Burlesque cabaret takes place on 19 October at elegant cabaret club, the Volupte Lounge and will raise money for CLIC Sargent, the children's cancer care charity.

World Chocolate Award
Winners will be announced today and then showcased and sampled at Spirit of Christmas Fair, Olympia from 1 to 5 November. Visit www.chocolate-week.co.uk for more information.

Chocolate and Wine tasting
The evening will begin with a brief introduction to chocolate and wine, after which you'll be guided through the art of tasting by Paul A Young and his business partner James Cronin. All participants will also get a small goody bag and 20% discount on Paul A Young chocolates. A similar event takes place on 20 October, this time substituting wine for whisky.

L'artisan du Chocolat talent competition
The competition aims to find the UK's newest chocolatier and the winning entry will be created and sold in L'artisan du Chocolat shops. To enter, send at least five pieces of your best self-made chocolate bonbon with full ingredients list to L'artisan du Chocolat, 89 Lower Sloane Street, SW1 8DA . Entries must be received by 14 October.

Water for Chocolate with Damian Allsop
Damian Allsop has gained a reputation for his unusual water based filled chocolates. Join him for an evening of chocolate, water and science as he demonstrates his magic.

Chocolate Masterclass with William Curley
If you know about chocolate then this is the event for you - William takes you on the next step on your chocolate journey with this masterclass. He will talk about chocolate from bean to bar, demonstrate tempering and reveal how to create a ganache.
