Hollywood star trys his hand at theatre

Orlando Bloom takes a break from Hollywood blockbusters to star in Anna Mackmim's production of David Storey's 1969 drama.

Bloom plays the role of Steven, one of three brothers who return north for a family reunion which serves only to dredge up long-held grievances.

The original play took audiences by storm in the 60s with a cast that included Alan Bates and James Bolam. This time around, Auf Wiedersehen Pet's Tim Healy and Dearbha Molloy join Bloom so there should be no excuses if the show does not match its previous successes.
