In search of Santa

As Christmas approaches Santa will be popping up across London. So if you've been good this year, and want to meet Father Christmas, take a look at our guide to the capital's grottos:

Selfridges
It's all aboard the Santa Express at Selfridges' Oxford Street store. Up to four people (at least one adult) can take a train ride through the magical forest to visit Father Christmas. It's free for all, or you can reserve a departure time online for £3 per group of four.
The grotto will be open until Christmas Eve. Visit www.selfridges.com for more information.

Hamleys
The plethora of toys at Hamleys is usually enough to excite any child, but from 25 November there an additional attraction at London's most famous toy store. Father Christmas will be at the Regent Street shop posing for photos and listening to kids' wish lists. He will also be sharing a Christmassy breakfast with visitors from the start of December.

Kew Gardens
Never let it be said that Santa confines himself to the comforts of warm department stores during the run-up to Christmas. Mr Claus is making several appearances in the grounds of Kew Gardens during December. The big man in red is expected on 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 December and daily on 17-23 December, from noon to 3.30pm and 5-7.30pm on late night openings.

Connaught Village
Santa and his elves will also be paying a flying visit to Connaught Village on 29 November. He will be giving away presents and posing for photos in his lair at 12 Connaught Street from 4-9pm.
