Keep fit with free running

Parkour London Classes
6 August, from 7.30pm, Moberly Sports and Education Centre, £5, 020 7641 4807

Those familiar with the most recent James Bond film, Casino Royale, will recall the fast-paced opening action scenes where the British agent has to chase down a spectacularly acrobatic free runner.

Parkour is otherwise known as free running and is fast gaining popularity among the sports-crazed of the capital.

Although these classes base the emphasis on having fun, the learning platform centres around elements of dance and acrobatics and there is still the opportunity for a serious work-out as you can learn various running, climbing and jumping techniques.

Entry is open to all comers, who are advised to come prepared with lightweight clothing.
