Masters of renaissance

Renaissance Siena

National Gallery, WC2
24 October - 13 January, £4.50-£9 (0870 906 3891, www.national gallery.org.uk).

Pulling together a collection of more than 100 pieces, this exhibition will display work by Renaissance masters such as Francesco di Giorgio and Domenico Beccafumi.

All pieces date from the 15th and 16th centuries; a golden age when Sienese artists competed with their rivals from the Florentine school.

Matteo di Giovanni's Assumption, part of the National Gallery's permanent collection, is reunited for the first time with all its other surviving parts.

Sculpture, ceramics and manuscripts are also included in the display - many of them relatively unknown outside Italy.
