The many legions of beer fanatics throughout the country will no doubt have already marked this event down in the calendar.
The annual Oktoberfest presents the chance for the thousands of Germans now living in this country and us Brits, to celebrate all things German with a range of mini-events over the course of a month.
The Beerhouse in Islington will be hosting delights such as yodelling and traditional Bavarian dancing, otherwise known as schuhplatteln. Well-dressed waitresses, equipped with hats and aprons, will be on hand to serve the anticipated masses.
