Regent Street Festival celebrates birthday with Madness gig

Regent street will be closed in aid of a concert for the first time thanks to a special Madness gig.

The Regent Street Festival will be celebrating its tenth year and Absolute Radio's 1st birthday on Sunday 27 September 2009 between 12 noon and 8pm and is hosting a traffic-free event.

Madness are also celebrating their own 30th birthday so it's only fitting that they provide the entertainment.

This moment of music history will be broadcast live to the nation on Absolute Radio on Sunday 27 September from 6pm.

Tickets for the exclusive gig will be given away free to Absolute Radio listeners via an on air text message competition.
