Show of wedded bliss

The National Wedding Show
Starts 28 September, from £12, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, 020 7385 1200

Any women waiting for their man to pop the question can drag him along to this event and use it as an excuse to drop some not-so-subtle hints.

There are a wide range of entertaining activities taking place, not least the 'How to Look Good' stage with former Clothes Show presenter Caryn Franklin and an Inspiration Zone, where couples can chat with experts, presumably married ones.

Six daily catwalk events will showcase a selection of wedding dress designs and outfits for the groom and prospective mother-in-law. If potential partners can survive a day at this event, marriage should prove a doddle in comparison.
