Back for its second year, the BBC Electric Proms offers five days of gigs and films from more than 80 established artists and rising stars. On the bill on Thursday is Mark Ronson at the Roundhouse (6.45pm, £25) joined by special guests such as Lily Allen, Tim Burgess and Sean Lennon.

Meanwhile, a John Peel tribute night at the Electric Ballroom features an appearance from Siouxsie Sioux (7pm, £15), while country music legend Charlie Louvin performs at Dingwalls (7.30pm, £10) in celebration of his 80th birthday earlier this year.
