Wonder of winter

Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park
1 December, £7.50-£12.50

It may seem far away, but already plans are afoot for this year's festive spectacle in Hyde Park.

Running throughout the entire festive season, Winter Wonderland is a family favourite that not only houses the largest outdoor ice rink in the capital, but also features the usual Santa's Grotto to keep the kiddies occupied.

Family entertainment comes in the shape of a German market that offers traditional Christmas fare and a giant observation wheel where you can take in some stunning views of the capital.

This picture postcard ideal could all be pure fantasy if it fails to snow however...
