Definitely one for the artier drinker, Spitz is an eclectic music venue, gallery and Bistro all wrapped into one. Still, drinkers are welcomed here and you can still easily have a pint, mainly towards the rear of the ground floor Bistro. Our preference is to get a seat outside at the back where you can see Spitalfields Market (the original bit, rather than the tedious 'landmark office, retail and leisure scheme' bit).

If you fancy a drink in the upstairs music venue, there are occasional free live music nights where you can listen to an interesting mix of artists. Be quick if you want to come here, however: we've just heard the property developer owners have told the Spitz they have until October to leave the building.
