It's friendly and laid back at the William IV

A Friday night at the William IV is often a busy, bustling, loud affair.
There are happening tunes played at the usual Friday night volume for the benefit of the young trendy local clientele, the lighting is suitably dimmed and the atmosphere is friendly and laid back.
Drinks are average London prices, with a choice of beers on the hand pumps - the Dawlish Ale was very nice when we were in last.
The food is Tapas and is original and tasty, however diners are urged to confine themselves to the brightly lit, quiet back room making this a pub of two halves.
It does have outdoor seating for the summer, and plenty of evening activities during the week. It's settled in now and obviously has a regular clientele, but it does seem that it's trying a bit too hard at times. Still worth visiting if you're in the area.
