The interior gives off the air of room in a smart country house, and the beer garden has a pleasant feel to it too. It's the atmosphere that wins you over here - even at night there's a relaxing air. Maybe the punters enjoy it so much they don't want to let everyone else in on the secret.

We've previously knocked it down for its beer selection, but the reason this one's back to being a 3 pinter now is its menu. There's nothing wrong per se with a pub only offering pizzas, but we weren't convinced with how their quality measured up to their cost. Still, the friendly staff - and friendlier pub dog - are marks in its favour. Maybe not a 4 pinter then, but still a very good 3.
