Solid boozer tradition oozes from every pore of this pub, including the wooden decor and especially from the menu that offers liver & bacon and gammon with not a mention of jus in sight.

The staff are welcoming, there's a healthy mix of locals, sympathetic lighting and Saturday nights offer live music at non-ear-splitting levels.

One other thing - don't be confused by the outside signage: it's called The Pelton Arms, but down the side is painted The Nags Head as a nod to history - this was the pub used in the Only Fools And Horses prequel Rock And Chips.
