The rest of the pub, though not as thoroughly remodelled as the nearby Dog & Fox, still has a slightly airbrushed feel; while the courtyard at the back even contains a Beach Bar (though thankfully no beach).

The pub as a whole, feels like two (or even three) pubs in one: the public bar at the front for Sky Sports fans, and the rest of the pub for families and diners.

You could quibble at the cost of the food - expensive even for these parts - but somehow it all seems to fit neatly together. It's a pub that seems tailored to the needs of a fair range Wimbledon folk, and as such, is hard to argue with.
