White Hart keeps it plain

The White Hart soldiers on, apparently oblivious to the whims and caprices of the pub-going market in the these parts. It sticks to its long-standing, tried-and-true, simple pub formula - there's decent beer on the hand pumps (we especially liked the Flowers IPA), simple pub grub, decent, friendly service and that's really about it.
The pub is simply furnished, mostly wooden barstools and tables, with a squashy settee and some upholstered furniture at the rear (the only nod to modern pub furnishing trends). And when you add very reasonable prices charged here (a £2.50 pint in the City - amazing for the area and a pub that's not a Wetherspoon) and you've got all you need for lunchtime or evening with your mates or work colleagues. The world's complicated enough, especially in the world of high finance and we believe this pub's refreshing simplicity to be the perfect antidote.
