Charles Campion checks out some of the best places to eat Indian kebabs in the capital.

Amaya
Halkin Arcade, Motcomb Street, SW1

Oodles of style with simple but delicious food. The menu is based around sophisticated kebabs. Impeccable grilled meats. £50pp ex-drinks.(020 7823 1166)

Sitaraay
167 Drury Lane, WC2

Lively, red-plush homage to Bollywood. The concept is simple, eat as much as you wish for a fixed price. Different Indian kebabs come to table as they're ready. Good cooking. £25pp ex-drinks (020 7269 6422)

Tayyabs
83-89 Fieldgate Street, E1

Large, busy Pakistani grill house. The lamb chops are epic, also sheekh kebabs and shami kebabs. A great meal can be made up of kebabs and exceptionally good breads. £15pp - BYO. (020 7247 6400)
