Critic's choice: where to eat salad

Now that summer's salad days are upon us, Charles Campion picks London's best three restaurants for a touch of the green stuff.

The Glade at Sketch
Conduit Street, W1

This swish lunch spot offers sophisticated dishes, including the "Glade salad", a combination of five seasonal salads served with the dressing of your choice. The set menu is a bargain (by Sketch standards). £25pp ex-drinks. (0870 777 4488)

Papillon
96 Draycott Avenue, SW3

Pandering to its Chelsea clientele, Papillon offers five rather good French-style salads - named Nord, Ouest, Centre, Est and Sud - plus classic French dishes. Good wine list. £25pp ex-drinks.

Theo Randall Intercontinental
One Hamilton Place, W1
There's very good Italian food here - and at £23 for three courses the set lunch is great value. From the antipasti, opt for the simple "Insalata mista" with pecorino Toscano. £25pp ex-drinks.
