This fine modern pub stands firmly by the river on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge. It is hard to find the first time but worth the effort nonetheless. The dean of St Paul's managed to find it all right. He opened it in 1979. When you get there you have Young's beers, a glass-walled bar, a pleasant restaurant and a big riverside terrace, wonderful on a sunny day. Both bar and terrace give you a fine view of the river, and one of the greatest views of St Paul's Cathedral. No-smoking area, and no kids in the bar.
