On Sunday mornings Columbia Road comes into full bloom with the ever-popular flower market, which throngs the streets for miles around. This ordinary-looking neighbourhood local becomes the focus for early risers and desperate topers in need of a sharpener following a large Saturday night. They don't serve cask ales, so it's a Guinness and lager affair, and Sundays are the only days when food is served. Not for those who are prone to hay fever.
