The voyage to Canary Wharf at the weekend is made a little easier by complimentary parking.

Chelsea mums get plenty of choice and Tom's Kitchen covers all the bases from Caesar salad; sausage and mash; to roast chicken or fish pie. The chocolate hot pot with peanut butter ice cream will add a suitable grace note, if nostalgia doesn't demand that mum tries the Baked Alaska.

At Bentley's Mothers' Day means a gently paced brunch between 11am and 4pm. Mum gets a glass of champagne and the menu is priced at £34.50.
