We have the lowdown on three of London's old-school diners, including Russell Brand's favourite in Hampstead...

Fatboy's Diner
Trinity Buoy Wharf, E14
(020 7987 4334; fatboysdiner.co.uk)

What A true hidden gem, Fatboy's first opened in 1941 in New Jersey. The bus-shaped diner ended up in London in the Nineties after trucking around the US for decades. The current owner Rosario Falcicca (who's had it for 11 years) kept the entire original interior, including oldschool jukeboxes at every table.
