CARDINAL PLACE CARNIVAL

This retail extravaganza offers a free line-up of live music, fashion, food, cooking, art and children's entertainment.

The official opening takes place on Friday and fashion will be the focus with a Makeover Fashion Show hosted by TV fashion expert Caryn Franklin.

On Saturday, there'll be face painting, mask making, jugglers, balloon modellers and street magicians as well as live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo.

Later in the evening, the English Pocket Opera Company will perform a selection of opera favourites including Madame Butterfly.

Sunday's line-up features more family activities, flower arranging and cookery demonstrations and the Southbank Sinfonia will take to the stage for the carnival's grand finale.

Cardinal Place, SW1, Fri 8, Sat 9 and Sun 10 September 2006. Visit www.cardinalplace.co.uk for more information
