WEEKEND COMEDY
Bruce Dessau
Jackie Mason
The veteran American comedian returns for what he has said will be his final UK shows. Mason is a legend whose career stretches back to the satirical Sixties and beyond. Consistently comical on current affairs, hopefully he will even be up to speed on local matters such as the Redknapp/Capello saga. Until March 17, Wyndham's Theatre, WC2 (0844 482 5120, delfontmackintosh.co.uk)
N2O Festival
An eclectic bunch of clowns comes to Battersea for this annual laugh-in. Highlights include wordplay wizard Dan Antopolski and his sketch combo Jigsaw (tonight), master of whimsy James Acaster (tonight) and a double header of rising stars Chris Martin - no, not that one - and Joel Dommett (tomorrow). Until Feb 25, Battersea Arts Centre, SW11 (020 7223 2223, bac.org.uk)
Jay & Silent Bob
Silent comedy is all the rage with The Artist hoovering up awards but at this show the often taciturn Bob, alias film director Kevin Smith, will be shooting the breeze with his pal Jay (Jason Mewes). They've been in hit movies and had a hit podcast so great things are expected of their first London show. Tomorrow, Hammersmith Apollo, W6 (0844 844 0444, ticketmaster.co.uk)
WEEKEND GIGS
David Smyth
Skrillex
Fresh from winning three Grammys last weekend, LA producer Sonny Moore is ready to show us experienced ravers why America now "gets" dance music and why he's at the forefront of the scene. Tonight, tomorrow, O2 Academy Brixton, SW9 (0844 477 2000, o2academybrixton.co.uk)
Nicole Scherzinger
The former Pussycat Doll brings her debut solo album to the stage, including her number one hit single Don't Hold Your Breath. Sun, HMV Apollo Hammersmith, W6 (0843 221 0100, hammersmithapollo.net)
Fred Perry Sub-Sonic Live
The clothing brand hands over the keys for its new club night to veteran producer Andrew Weatherall, the man responsible for Primal Scream's Screamadelica. Tonight, Warm Digits and Night Angles do live sets. Tonight, Relentless Garage, N5 (0844 847 1678, fredperrysubculture.com)
Kerrang! Tour
Sum 41 have pulled out but you can bang heads to New Found Glory, letlive and While She Sleeps. Tonight, Roundhouse, NW1 (0870 389 1846, roundhouse.org.uk)
War Child Brits Show 2012
The annual charity concert takes place days before the Brit Awards - presumably so Ed Sheeran can get drunk on the big night. Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn of Blur join him. Sun, O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, W12 (0844 477 2000, o2shepherds bushempire.co.uk)
