Dita Von Teese has always been an ambassador of stockings and suspenders but, all of a sudden, she's not the only celeb who is outing her undergarments.
Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lily Allen and Pixie Geldof have all been rocking suspenders-style in recent weeks, too.
Now we find that Rihanna's Hussein Chalayan thigh-high boots held up by built-in suspenders, and Lily and Pixie trompe l'oeil suspenders (tights with suspender details), have inspired the rest of us to join in with the fad and sales of suspenders are up.
With their sexy connotations, the growing prevalence of suspenders on the street could make for a highly aroused London. So, I went to Embankment to find out if Londoners still find suspenders a turn-on.

Women who have great legs and wear suspenders and stockings or holds up are a real turn on. Most women I have discussed wearing these know that by wearing them it will turn on any male on, especially on nights out or having affairs ...........

Olliereeder - I think you'll find that it quite clearly makes that point, that Lily Allen and Pixie Geldof were wearing trompe l'oiel tights, in the piece.

There is nothing wrong with a nice pair of sheer tights, but you cannot beat stockings and suspenders. But please, please; Lily Allen was photographed in a pair of trompe l'oeil tights patterned to LOOK like stockings. Which rather misses the point. By a mile.
And in any case - only a tart would wear them as she did, with such a short hemline that they were visible whilst standing upright. 0/10.

Stockings are so old fashioned, it's what the older generations like, and especially with the designs/patterns etc on them, are horrible.
Sheer blue or black to-the-waist tights are best.

Stockings are elegant and sexy and a massive turn on however it should only be a glimpse or a is she isnt she situation as a full view only suggests another occupation!
