Bratwurst-in-a-bun

Bored with pop-up restaurants? Well, this latest one, called WigWamBam, is worth a visit. Perched on the roof above the Queen of Hoxton bar is a giant teepee where, until April, the organisers will be holding singalongs, sausage-eating competitions and candlelit readings.

So far, so Shoreditch. But before you write it off as just another mad east London hipster hangout, wait until you've tasted the food. Once you've found a seat on a log, downed your mulled wine, hot cider or hot buttered rum, warm up by the massive round grill as chefs cook you proper bratwursts in buns. You'll have to go early to save a space.

Open Mon-Fri, 4pm-10pm (Sat 6pm-10pm) at the Queen of Hoxton, 1-5 Curtain Road, EC2 (queenofhoxton.com)
