What to buy this week

Our fashion girl in the know rounds-up this week's must-haves...

That Seventies Jean
Anyone hoping to let this season's Seventies revival pass without so much as glancing at a batwing sleeve is cruelly mistaken: this trend is certain to go stratospheric, with every Marc, Dick and Stella getting in on the act. For a less terrifying way to channel the era, try Gap's high-waisted wide-leg jean (£49.95), available in both bright and neutral (thank God) shades. Well, If you can't beat 'em (gap.eu)

Get High
Rupert Sanderson is, quite literally, going up in the world with four new vertiginous shoe styles — each with a heel height of 140mm. We love this spangly futuristic style aptly named The Lightning (£595). And if the thought of navigating the Tube platform in these neck-breakers leaves you cold, don't be dismayed: Sanderson's dynamic range of kitten and mid-height heels is still very much alive and, er, kicking. In the air
Brush over the fact that these beautifully packaged scented bubbles were, quite creepily, designed with the aim of introducing children to the world of perfume and instead focus on the joy they could bring to the daily dressing regime of your average grown-up. Available in scents of violet, pear and ice cool mint, Les Bulles d'Agathe by luxurious French perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdjian (£15.50) are available at Space NK now. (spacenk.com)
