Beauty spots: pink pouts

There's really no point being subtle about lipstick, and the celebs are demonstrating that if you're going to wear it, it may as well be shocking pink.

Kelly Osbourne offset her peroxide blonde crop with a fuchsia smile on Alexa Chung's chat show last week, and Alesha Dixon matched her lips (and nails) to her magenta belt for her performance at T4 on the Beach at the weekend.

Make-up artists for the Antonio Berardi Fall 2009 catwalk show chose MAC Pro Cream Colour Base in Madly Magenta to create the look on his models (£11.74, 0870 034 2676).

For a rosier shade, go for Trimming Talk, a new shade from the MAC mainline range (£12) or for a truly stand-out colour try Rituals Ruby Lips Cream & Care Lipstick in Smart (£9.90, www.rituals.com).
