How to succeed by Matthew Hussey, success coach

Matthew has been coaching Londoners in the art of success for the past four years. He started with just one client in 2005 and to date more than 2,000 people have attended one of his motivational seminars.

His website www.matthewhussey.com gets hundreds of clicks per day and he now receives more than 100 daily emails from individuals asking about how they can be more confident in their lives.

Matthew, from east London, who says his goal is to formulate tools used by successful people that other people don't know about, lists the necessary conditions:

Relentless action
Most people take action but are not always familiar with the concept of taking action again. Knock on that door until the people on the other side have no choice but to let you in.

Be fluid, my friend
Bruce Lee's quote, "Water can flow or it can crash" is fitting. Too many of us are so rigid in our approach to success. We have to be willing to adapt, to get creative.

Raise your expectations
Expect more from life and you'll get more from life — you are entitled to whatever you want. No matter how unreasonable your expectations, when you believe that's what you deserve, the world bends to you.

Stay ready
Whatever knowledge you need, find it. Whatever people you need to meet, meet them. Whatever skill you need to learn, learn it. When opportunity knocks you'd better be ready or it will find someone else who will take your spot.

Make yourself accountable
Ideally, we'd all like a personal trainer, someone to push us further than we think we can go. Give yourself deadlines, make a friend promise to not let you off the hook or, if you can, hire a mentor.
