No 1 twice over: The Scissor Sisters new album Ta-Dah is a real hit

US band Scissor Sisters have clinched the top spot in both this week's UK singles and album chart.

It is the third week the New York disco group have spent at number one in the singles chart with I Don't Feel Like Dancin'.

The group's second album, Ta-Dah, entered the album charts at number one, knocking Futuresex/Lovesounds by Justin Timberlake from the top spot to number three.

Fellow American group The Killers climbed three places from number five to two in the singles chart with When You Were Young, while Timberlake slipped from number two to number three with Sexyback.

Nelly Furtado's Promiscuous stayed at number four, while Fergie slipped two places from number three to five with London Bridge.

Hips Don't Lie by Shakira climbed from number seven to six and Cascada climbed five places from number 12 to seven with Everytime We Touch.

Snow Patrol with Chasing Cars stayed at number eight and Jamelia climbed one place from number 10 to nine with Something About You.

Pink and U & UR Hand climbed five places from number 15 to number 10.

The Fratellis' debut album Costello Music stayed at number two in the albums chart and Eyes Open by Snow Patrol remains at number four.

The Truth About Love by Lemar dropped two places from number three to five, while Elton John and The Captain & The Kid entered the chart at number six.

Razorlight's self-titled album climbed from number eight to seven and Kasabian's Empire slipped three places from number five to eight.

Bob Dylan's Modern Times also fell two places from number seven to nine, and The Feeling's Twelve Stops And Home slipped four places from number six to 10.
