The Who, Razorlight and Take That were winners at the Vodafone Live Music Awards. Take That took home the prize for Best Live Return after their triumphant pop comeback.
Razorlight won the Live Impact Award and Best Live Music DVD. And veteran rockers The Who were honoured with the Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement in Live Music Award, which was presented by Brian May and Roger Taylor.
Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles hosted the inaugural award ceremony at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London. Girls Aloud were among the performers. Other winners included U2, Muse, Gorillaz and The Automatic.
The awards also honoured the unsung heroes of live performance - the roadies. The Best Tour Roadie accolade went to Primal Scream's faithful Fatty.
The awards were judged by a panel of music industry experts. Moyles said: "This is the first ceremony to recognise not just great musical talent but great live performers from across the board."
