With more in common with the Barbican's highbrow Only Connect festival than the Radio One Roadshow, the BBC's latest venture into live events is a long weekend of intriguing collaborations boasting big names from across rock's spectrum.
Camden's impressively refurbished Roundhouse is the main base for proceedings, with shows from Paul Weller and the Magic Numbers (Wed), James Brown (Fri) and Kasabian, who'll finally acquire some class when they perform with the BBC Concert Orchestra (Sat).
The really big draws, though, will be the Who's debut performance of their latest rock opera Wire & Glass (Sun) and the first look at Damon Albarn's newest supergroup The Good, The Bad and The Queen (Thu).
Then there are smaller shows dotted across Camden by the likes of Jet (Barfly, Thu), Basement Jaxx (Koko, Sun) and the Raconteurs (Electric Ballroom,Thu). Not quite as big as the real Proms, but something will definitely appeal.
