Knob-twiddling duo MSTRKRFT take over at Canvas, Escape from Samsara are pulling out all the stops and there's a top-class night of authentic nu-skool breaks and drum'n'bass at The Telegraph.

The early section of this party sees a showcase of Modular Records' hottest new acts. Van She play live, as do hotly-tipped indie/punk act, New Young Pony Club. Gaining a reputation as dance/rock producers, the knob-twiddling duo that is MSTRKRFT take over from midnight til 6am, supported by Sydney's Bang Gang DJs.

Escape from Samsara

This party has attracted a loyal following for almost ten years with its blend of psychedelic techno and trance. Known for putting on a spectacle, the Escape From Samsara people are pulling out all the stops tonight in terms of production with circus performers and a mind-bending array of UV and fluorescent lighting. The main room hosts Chris M, Sol Ray and a live performance from K90, while the second room features funky breaks.

A top-class night of authentic nu-skool breaks and drum'n'bass is on offer tonight, with the top spot occupied by ILS and MC Mystery. Scratch DJ Blofelt also puts in a appearance, as does Botchit & Scarper's Mr Sushi. The bar is devoted to d'n'b with British DJs including Future and Mantra going back to back with gritty eastern European spinners like Panka and Mikro.

Ministry welcomes jovial Scouse houser Yousef to the turntables under the auspices of his Circus brand – a party that's become one of Liverpool's best-loved destinations for lovers of hard-edged but tuneful house. Detroit Techno master Stacey Pullen is also in the house, as are X-Press 2. As as if that weren't enough excitement, excellent electro/house group Freeform Five put in a live appearance.

One of the most consistently respected figures on the scene, having successfully purveyed a heady blend of techno and house for some 15 years, Colin Dale brings his Abstrakt night back to Jamm. Alongside Dale, look out for the minimal electro-based house of Sophie Oliver, The End's Murf and the harder, more intense techno of Colin's younger brother, Mark. Expect a full-on, but friendly atmosphere.
