Shake 'n' Fingerpop
The Lodge, NW10

Another instalment of Norman Jay's occasional series of Eighties events as the only DJ with an MBE pays a turntable tribute to the late James Brown. At £3 before 10pm and £5 afterwards, you can't really go wrong at this laid-back Harlesden nightery as Jay spins soul, funk, R&B and hip hop. (020 8965 3862). Tonight, 9pm-3am.

Gospel
Inigo, SW8
If you seek an uplifting, euphoric Sunday experience without the help of a set of religious beliefs, this could well be the party for you as residents Rico e Liso and Samuel Bee deliver a set of happy-clappy vocal and funky house. Oh, and it's free. (020 7622 4884). Sun 11 Mar, 7pm-2am.

Ceilidh Club
Cecil Sharp House, NW1

If you've ever been to a Scottish wedding, you've probably got some idea of the country dancing-based hurly-burly that is a ceilidh. This long-running Primrose Hill party offers you a chance to enjoy it all again without any boring speeches or expensive gifts. And don't worry if you don't know the dances. Alongside a live band, a "caller" will talk you through the steps. (020 7485 2206). Tonight, 7.15pm-11pm

Body Music
Plan B, SW9
This well-run Brixton venue has blossomed into a force to be reckoned with and the arrival of much-vaunted Body Music, formerly held at The Key in King's Cross, shows how far it's come. There's deep and soulful house from Andy Bird, Pablo Martinez and John Oudo, plus a guest appearance from Baltimore's DJ Spen. (020 7924 0480). Sat 10 Mar, 9pm-5am.

Nude
Ministry, SE1
A rare chance to see electronic superstar Moby behind the turntables. Bringing the electro and tech-house flavour to the main room are residents Smokin' Jo and Mazzy Supastar. The bar features Norman Jay, Street Life DJs, Luke VB and Tim Red. (0870 0600 010). Sat 10 Mar, 11pm-7am.
