Britons strike a chord in US

One in 12 albums sold in the US is by a British artist, figures show.
Favourite last year was James Blunt's Back To Bedlam. Other top sellers included Snow Patrol, Natasha Bedingfield and Gorillaz.
The US is the largest market for British music - accounting for 34 per cent of sales.
Researchers at BPI said: 'British records are a vital part of music's DNA.'
On the other hand, the US share of the British market was 38 per cent in 2005, down from 45 per cent in 2003.
