Hucknall: shouted at bouncers

Hucknall sees red over bouncers

Evening Standard   1 Jun 2007

Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall was fuming after bouncers stopped fans from dancing at his concert.

The 46-year-old singer lost his cool at the Royal Albert Hall when he yelled, "Oi, knobhead!" at a bouncer hassling fans who had been swaying to the music.

Concert-goers said stewards kept trying to force about 30 women in their thirties and forties, who were dancing in front of the stage, back into their seats.

Hucknall argued with the security men three times during Wednesday's gig and shouted: "Leave them alone - they're not teenagers."
