The National Gallery will echo to the sounds of jazz, rap, rock and drumming today as Youth Music week kicks off with a series of free events.
Pop star Lil' Chris and vocal quartet All Angels will be at the gallery to launch the nationwide programme which runs until 1 November.
Richard Stilgoe, chairman of the National Lottery-backed Youth Music foundation, said: "The idea of Youth Music week is that as many young people as possible should participate."
